1. Canon Eos 1300D/T6
After two successful years of Canon Eos 1200D, its successor was launched as 1300D. To be honest, it’s almost identical to 1200D but comes with slight upgrades. One of those upgrades is portability, 1300D is much more compact as compared to 1200D. Screen size is of 3 inches and weighs around 485 grams. This product comes with an 18 MP APS -C CMOS sensor and 9 Auto Focus points. By default, you will also get the 18-55 lens which is great for beginners. Canon has introduced Wi-Fi connectivity and NFC in this camera which is so helpful to share pics from camera to phone when you are on the run. Image quality is decent but it does not support Image Stabilization. So also invest in a sturdy tripod as well.
2. Nikon D3400
Definitely one of my favorite in this category. When it comes to entry-level DSLR cameras, Nikon is surely ahead of everyone. This camera comes with a 24.2 MP Crop sensor and a new Expeed 4 processing engine which makes the images stunning and colorful. This product comes with Optical Image Stabilization and also supports full 1920 x 1080 HD video recording at 30 FP. It does not support WiFi but it does support Bluetooth connectivity and Snapbridge. You also get an additional feature of Burst Shoot in which you can take shot continuously up to 5 frames per second. This camera weighs around 445 grams.

3. Sony – Alpha a68k
No products found. Nikon and Canon are considered as best in the overall Camera categories, but every now and then Sony doesn’t fail to surprise us all. Sony – Alpha a68k is one of those surprises. There’s a reason behind listing this product apart from obvious features like small and portable. It provides 79 autofocus points with 4D focus. Another great feature of this product is that it supports up to 8 frames per seconds in Burst mode which I think is the best for capturing fast moving object. Also, it comes with a tiltable screen which makes photography fun and easy. It does support HD video recording at 1920 x 1080 resolution.

Pentax is one of the best rising companies in the DSLR market. It provides some great features which are a bit unique and different as compared to other companies. Pentax K70 is a perfect example of how a premium DSLR should be. It comes with 24.24 MP APS crop CMOS sensor like the rest of the products. And it has 6 frames per second rate for continuous shooting. For the rest of the features, this camera exceeds all other products mentioned in the list. Although, this is a bit expensive item. Another one from Canon Team. They surely know how to make smallest DSLR cameras. This one comes in Beginner to moderate DSLR entry level category. It is easily portable because of its light weight at 408 g. It has an 18.5 MP APS – C CMOS sensor and 4 Fps continuous shooting. Because of its lightweight, this is the best DSLR camera for travel. Coming to display, this camera has a 3 inch Touch Screen which is the highlight of this product. Sure you can get the same feature in Nikon but you might have to compromise on the size and portability of the product. Having a touchscreen control can save a lot of time and efforts and also provides pinpoint accuracy when shooting images. You don’t have to rotate the wheel to change Aperture and Shutter speed. Just simply tap on the screen and select from list or dropdown and you are good to go.

6. Nikon D5300
No products found. This is one of my favorite DLSR cameras in this category. It has way more features as compared to D3400 by Nikon and is also not so costly. And yes, this is also an Entry level DSLR but with beginner to moderate features. But keep in mind that this product is on a heavy side therefore not easily portable. But it backs up its portability issue with an amazing 3.2-inch Articulated screen which is great if you want to take selfies or start vlogging. It has 24.2 MP APS crop sensor with 9 point Auto Focus system. And this was one of those DSLRs who introduced WiFi connectivity with Smartphones. It records video at 1920*1080 resolution and also offers Image Stabilization.
